I thoroughly enjoyed the tour you provided in Tokyo. My family was able to see the city and its surroundings in a way that would not have been possible otherwise. I especially liked our visit to the
shrine city, prowling the streets of the
sumo district, visiting the
fish market,
Kabuki theater and, in general, absorbing the life and time of Tokyo.
It was special to receive your insights into comparisons between Japan and US cultures. Your English is very fluent and your understanding of the US and Americans made it easy for me to understand similarities and differences. I travel to understand the people and places that I see and broaden my perspective of the world. You facilitated this far beyond my expectations.(Tony D. , US)
I appreciate the tour you provided for my family when we were in Tokyo. A few of the things I remember most are visiting the
Sumo District and getting to see some of the wrestlers in their practice halls. This was followed by a great lunch at one of the traditional Sumo Restaurants. Without your help and insight into this area, we never would have been able to have such an authentic experience in the Sumo District.
We had such a wonderful time visiting the
Fish Market, the
Shrine City and learning more about your culture by seeing an authentic
Tea Ceremony. You made our experience fun, informative and interesting. I would highly recommend your tour services in the future and appreciate your making our trip such a wonderful experience.(Doreen D. , US)
Thank You for making me enjoy
Tokyo and Kamakura tour. The tour with you was eco and lot of fun. The giant statue of
great Buddha, Kamakura town, a lady with
Kimono dress, and
local Japanese food are still in my memory. You made me and friends realized that Japan is rich of culture and heritage. It was an unforgettable tour with your arrangement.(Ilada R. , Thailand)
Though it has been a while, I still recall the "tour" vividly. You were very punctual - which I always appreciate. We had a short discussion on what we are going to do over the next few hours of the tour and you laid out options clearly and also seek my opinion on what I wanted to do. Something which makes a "tourist" very comfortable, as he / she doesn't feel blinded by the pre-defined itinerary. I appreciated it very much too. The food you ordered during the dinner was keeping in the "international" taste, but still covered lot of local dishes - I was amazed by the balancing act.(Vicky A. , India)
I liked seeing Tokyo through the eyes of a local. Yuko put together a very full day of sightseeing for my friend and I, combining traditional (
shrines and
markets) with modern (
architecture). I began to have a sense for what makes Tokyo “tick” by the end of the day….a very vibrant, progressive city that holds its traditions dear. Experiencing a Japanese
Tea Ceremony was a personal highlight of mine.
Tokyo is a very large city and can be a little intimidating to the first time visitor. Having the help of a local guide such as Yuko goes a long way towards taking the stress out of sightseeing and ensures you optimize your time, thereby fitting more sights in!(Kevin G. ,Ireland)
Yuko brought us to a very nice
restaurant and when we went to
Shibuya later in the evening she suggested another restaurant which we visited another evening and was the culinary highlight of the holiday.
I really appreciated that Yuko was able to change her itinerary to accommodate us when we changed our minds about what we would like to do next. Thanks also for helping me out in the pharmacy and making sure that we were able to book our
Shinkansen tickets to Kyoto.(David J., Ireland)
It was our first time coming to Japan and we truly enjoyed every day we spent in Japan! Thanks Yuko for accompanying us on a couple of days and helping us exploring Japan on our own! Your
“Pre-trip” consultation was extremely helpful!
Tokyo is a city of mixed styles and multiple facets! We went to
Meiji Shrine on the morning of the 2nd day and were lucky enough to see a traditional Japanese style wedding ceremony. In the afternoon, the hilarious
Harajuku and Shibuya shopping area and descent fashionable
Omotesando Hills are just very other aspects of Tokyo!
Another highlight is our day trip to
Kamakura, love the old capital city with small cozy houses and huge
great Buddha.
We had a big shopping at
Venus Fort in Daiba. The outdoor dinner with
Rainbow Bridge in the night is very romantic ;) The Japanese noodle we had with Yuko in Shinjuku and Shinbashi area are
nice local food, nothing luxury, but very delicious.
Thanks for making our week tour in Japan a memorable experience! The cultural talk and exchange we had along the way is a plus to the scenery we saw! (L.Liu & M.Zhou, China)
